Tosin Quota International Foundation focused on putting smiles on people’s faces.
Tosin Quota International Foundation was founded by Miss
Oluwatosin Olayiwola in 2015. Her love for putting smiles on people’s faces led her to start her own foundation and it focuses mainly on widows because she knows that they are the most neglected category of people in the society.
Though registered in 2018, she had her first outreach in Feb 14, 2015 where she fed 30 widows in her grandmother’s compound at Aramoko-Ekiti in Ekiti State. After feeding them, she discovered that they needed good health check which she provided. She later provided monetary help in order to take care of themselves when the CEO was only earning 18,000 herself.
The joy on the widows’ faces coupled with the remarkable feedback she got after the first outreach propelled her to continue in her good cause and voila! Tosin Quota International Foundation was birthed. This foundation cuts across age, tribe and religion without any political undertone.
The founder, with the help of charity helpers like her mom, former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Peter Ayodele Fayose, Hon Bamishile (former Ekiti State APC governorship aspirant), her boss, friends and families, some of her customers at work have been funding the foundation for the past years and now the foundation is opened to welcome more sponsors.
As at this year 200 widows are benefiting from the foundation and more are still coming in. The future projection of TQIF is looking into women empowerment in general across all the 36 states in the country, starting with Lagos State in December having added value to widows in Ekiti for three years.
As Charles Dickens said “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another”, a huge source of motivation for T.Q.I.F.
We improve the lives of the widows, elderly and vulnerable in the society.
